Girls Camp 2015- EPIC TIMES!

Girls Camp this year was so great. We only had four days there but our young women's got so close! I learned so much about them and the leaders. There was an EPIC snipe hunt with the beehives that included stories of blood and gore and a funeral. They named one of them Kevin. Some of the beehives were still freaked out about them until the last full day when one of the Miamaids bore 'testimony' that snipes are not true. It was hilarious! We spent hours and hours at the lake. I even got in even though it was incredibly cold. We had a compass course and devotionals but a return sister missionary that served in Paris, France and the Rice's talked about Marriage and Family. I loved how they mentioned the importance of 'completing' each other and not 'competing' with each other. We felt the spirit, laughed and cried. There was little sleep, hiking, riding in the back of my truck, pranks and way too much candy but it was a great time. I am so grateful to be part of such an incredible group of people!

And one more thing that is important to mention. There was a watermelon eating contest. I told the girls that I was going to win. I told them that I was sorry but there was no hope for any of them. One girl told me after the fact "I was starting to think how sad you would be if you didn't win and then we started and I thought- Oh she's not going to lose!" I should have warned them to stand clear. The countdown started, we got ready and then boom watermelon was flying everywhere. My favorite picture from camp is this next one. Notice the expressions on the girls faces. They were in complete awe(or shock) at what was happening. It was so funny!!!
